"Pink Aag, when I first heard that name I was intrigued and repulsed. Gay and black, could it be any more marginal? That’s how it feels, being part of a strata of society that is the butt of comedy and prejudice. I found the mirror being held up to my own insecurities.

Deciding to dust down those chips on my shoulder, I went. Not before deciding whether to go butch or femme. Femme it was. I was intrigued again, this time at the spectrum of gay asian/black women at Pink Aag. The usual quick scan. They were attractive and unattractive at first site. After a few games, the odd drink and breakers of barriers, I could see everyone had their issues and we are all working through them. Friendships were made. Flirting was done, numbers exchanged. I sit here writing this with someone I met there, and she doesn’t have horns."

"Pink Aag is a great idea, I was really excited when I heard about it and it didn’t fail to deliver! The evening was relaxed, fun, and well organised. I met some lovely women with whom I’m now friends and one special woman. I’m really happy and lucky, and have Pink Aag to thank for making that possible."

"Hearing of Pink aag renewed hopes that it will be possible to meet likeminded people in London. Coming from New York a month ago, it was very important for me to reach out to the community and also find people i would like to make friends with, and maybe more.

I met some amazing women at Pink Aag. Working professionals, smart, intelligent and lovely people to hang out with. Made a couple friends who i would love to hang out with time and again, and grow a friendship with.

The event in itself was such a seamless event. Right from a welcome bubbly to the closure of the event, everything was effortless, unembarassing and truly an icebreaker. Conceptualization of activities to let people meet the people of their choice was absolutely unprecedented. I felt as if the organizers had been doing this for years, and not for the first time. I would encourage every individual wishing to meet other likeminded people make the most of the Pink Aag events.

My best wishes to the organizers and prayers that let all of us find our life partners!"

"When I first heard about Pink Aag, I felt intrigued and quite excited about the prospect of meeting new women from the Asian community, and also with any luck making new friends. I really didn’t need much persuasion and decided to coax a few friends to come along too, thought more the merrier... and why not!

The evening consisted of many fun interactive activities which were organised well however it did over run slightly which didn’t allow much time at the end to mingle among the group. Having said that I thought the event went extremely well, and it certainly exceeded my expectations of what I might expect. The organisers were very friendly and the MC made me feel at ease almost immediately.

During the course of the night, I managed to speak to most people who attended and was pleasantly surprised by the diversity of the group. Having attended Pink Aag, I have made new friendships… I would certainly go again."
